National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in Information Technology: Skills Level 3
This can be achieved by completing the Cert. BOIS programme and then submitting the work completed for assessment. Currently the assessment process is by examination together with the submission of a portfolio of work. Assignments on the Cert. BOIS programmes have been designed to exceed this portfolio requirement.

Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
The MOS award is obtained by examination and the information required for this award is contained in the individual modules of the Microsoft Office suite.

Computer Literacy and Information Technology (CLAIT – Levels 1, 2 & 3)
Integrated Business Technology (IBT – Levels 1, 2 & 3)
European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)

These three awards are by examination. The skills learnt on the BOIS programmes far exceed those required for any of the above three awards.
